TeeoBot reads publicly posted vehicle inventory from automotive retail websites. Teeo uses it to compare each dealer's prices and discounts against the rest of their market. This page exists so that site operators can identify our traffic, understand what it does, and stop it.
Every request TeeoBot makes carries this identity string:
TeeoBot/1.0 (+https://bot.dealredge.com)
Our requests come from our cloud provider's shared addresses in the United States, so we cannot publish a fixed list of IPs. If you are unsure whether some traffic is ours, email us the IP address and the time and we will tell you whether it matches our crawl.
For each new vehicle in your inventory, TeeoBot records:
It does not collect photographs, vehicle descriptions or any other written content. It does not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses or any other personal information.
Two ways, and either one is enough. Email dev@dealredge.com
and we will stop. Or block the user agent TeeoBot at your edge, firewall or
server; we will not attempt to work around it.
TeeoBot does not read robots.txt yet. A Disallow rule will
not stop it today, so please use one of the two methods above. We would rather tell you
that than let you add a rule that does nothing.
Email dev@dealredge.com from an address at your dealership's own domain and tell us which site to exclude. We will stop crawling it and delete what we hold from it.
No explanation is required and we will not ask you to reconsider.
